Maxell Audio Tapes: The Voice Of The 80s
Maxell audio tapes were one of the favorite brands that people in the 1980s through today used to make mixed tapes for their loved ones and friends. Mixed tapes contained a sample of songs that were, more often than not, declarations of love. Sometimes, mixed tapes were used to convey angst and provided a soundtrack for a particular group of people to connect with.
Mixing tape -as a form of art- made it easy for people with troubles in the expression of feelings to have a method to base their emotions easily, usually teen agers and young adult people. It became quite easy for people to express thru the lines of a song than speaking directly to their crush since the mixed tape allowed its artist a certain inhibition.
One of the most popular audio tapes were Maxell, thanks to their jackets. These cards allowed mixed tape creators to list the songs on their tapes, and could be unfolded to provide more space. In addition, Maxell even thought to provide spare labels for each cassette tape, in case an error was made while writing the labels.
Maxell made their audio tapes with thinner cases than other tape manufacturers did. This was so that customers could keep more of them in smaller spaces. They could easily fit into pockets, so that they could be passed from the mixer to the intended listerner with ease.
One brand of high quality audio cassette tapes was Maxell. These tapes were known for their quality, even over extended periods of time. Many other brands of tapes lost their sound quality in a matter of months. The elements of heat and light also affected the quality of the music on the tapes as time passed.
Many mixed tapes on 25-year-old Maxell cassettes still run perfectly well. The problem at this late date is finding a machine that will actually play the cassettes. Still, if even vinyl can make a comeback, there's no reason that audio cassettes couldn't, given the number of people and tapes still outstanding. Other tapes used for mixes were made by TDK and Fuji brands.
Maxell Audio tapes became a favorite brand through the 1980s to today and were often used to make mixed tapes containing samples of songs that were declarations of love. A mixed tape made it easier to express emotions and removed inhibitions, particularly for teenagers and young adults. One of the reasons Maxwell tapes became popular was that the jacket and the cards for writing notes about the tape were bigger and roomier. Another reason was the extra jackets, the thinner case, and the tapes durability. A lot of Maxell tapes from the 1980s still work. Other brands are TDK cassette tapes and Fuji audio tapes.
